On Thursday I visited Belstaff New Bond Street shop to meet the man who walked the Nile. Levison Wood, a British photojournalist, writer and explorer who recently did a documentary with the BBC called 'Walking the Nile', where he walked the length of the Nile River in December 2013. Wood started in Rwanda and made his way through Tanzania, Uganda, South Sudan, Sudan and Egypt over a nine-month period. The total journey measured 3,750 miles. An inspiring journey for sure.
He spoke about his challenges while there, but mainly about all the amazing people he met and help him to complete his journey. He said without them wouldn't have been able to do it.
'Setting myself a challenge, then calculating the risk and breaking stereotypes, that’s my passion' He seemed very charming and down to earth guy not to mention his good looks!
