In the last couple of years we have seen designers adding fun elements to their designs. I think is great, because it shows the fun side of fashion. Those little details that make us smile when we see someone wearing something a bit bonkers. I think a great way of adding some fun details to an outfit is by using some quirky accessories. For example, whenever I wear the ring egg DIY I did a couple of weeks ago, I always get a reaction on the streets, a smile or 'I love your ring' type of comments, sometimes weird looks too, it doesn't matter the reaction is always there and people ask questions. I love that. I love creating a reaction with something I'm wearing.
I did this necklace a couple of weeks ago and is very simple to do, you only need to cut the fabric in an egg shape or you can also use colourful foam, acrylic or leather. Glue your piece, make a couple of holes, add a string and voila!
Yesterday, I went to the launch of a new machine called Cricut that you can use at home just like a printer, and you can cut fabric, leather, plastic, wood etc...I tried it out and is amazing! But I will tell you more about this machine in another post. Have a lovely weekend!
This necklace is so fun, and the DIY is so simple. Great idea! :)

This necklace is way too much fun. I love the idea of using colored leather to make something! I'm thinking I'm going to try my hand at creating a burger necklace...:) Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and read my blog! I'm glad you did, I love yours! xx

What a funny yet whimsical piece! Not sure if I could pull it off as a necklace, but thinking of blowing it up on a crewneck :)
