The House of Peroni| Make your own chair in 15 min

Artist Martijn Rigters, talked with us about using the human body as a design tool and as an essential part of the process of creation, he tries to amplify the relationship between user and abject. Like this installation where the user becomes part of the process as a contra-mould (Foam Party), a machine that equips the human hand with a glove to directly manipulate the outcome.
After they poured the mixture, I sat in the mold for 10 min to give my personal bottom shape to the chair, the chair is ready to be reveal and you have to leave it set for another 5 min...After that, you can take your creation with you, It's kind of heavy but I managed to take it with me in the tube :)
The house of Peroni is open to the public  at 41 Portland Place, W1 - where you can immerse yourself in the new wave of contemporary Italian culture.
Step through the doors  to experience the future of Italian food made by Michelin-Starred chefs The Costardi Brothers, sip from a bespoke drinks menu from Gerry Calabrese's bar and browse the cutting-edge of Italian art, music & design.

Some details around the house, featuring the work of Italian talented designers, architects, fashion photographers, etc..

I truly enjoyed having a browse around the house looking to the best of Italian contemporary artists. The chair event was really fun, I loved the fact, that you get to talk with the artist and be part of the installation. Each event cost between £15-£20 apart from the event: Take a seat at the table of the Costardi Brothers, 2 Michelin-starred chefs inviting you on a journey, re-imagining Italian regions using flavours, colours and textures in an intimate 7-course menu. You can visit the event calendar: here.
Thank you to the Peroni PR team for the invitation!
