- Shorter, cooler showers.
Long, hot showers strip skin of its
moisture and wash away protective oils. So limit showers to 10 minutes
and keep the water cool.
- Wash and Moisturise your face twice daily.
Make cleansing your skin part of your morning and bedtime routines. Using a gentle soap and rising with cool water. Consider using a lighter moisturiser during the day. If you're prone to
breakouts, save the heavy cream moisturiser for night time and use a
light or gel moisturiser during the day.
- Drink more water.
Always remember drinking water is the simplest thing that you can do and I can benefit a LOT! Drinking more water helps to lose weight, have better skin, feel less tired, crave less fatty foods etc.. If you don't have the habit of drinking water try to carry a bottle with you all the time and drink it during the day, it's easy to make it a habit and the benefits are worth it.
-Protect your skin from the sun.
Apply a light sunscreen every time you plan to be outside.
The lack of sun damage will keep your skin dewy and supple for years to
come. Remember, it only takes 15 minutes to get a sunburn. Use a foundation or tinted moisturiser with sunscreen, so your face is already covered. There is products available for special care for reddened, irritated and impure skin you can check those products here!
-Eat healthy and exercise.
Go for a run, ride your bike, work out in the garden on a hot day, anything that gets you sweating. Sweating is nature’s way of eliminating toxic chemicals that can build up under skin. Plus, regular exercise maintains healthy circulation and blood flow throughout your body, including your skin.
