Perhaps this is not the cup of tea of everybody, it's kind of childish but I like painting my clothes, it's a way of make them unique and really personalize them. Fashion is moving fast these days... trends, disposable clothes, everybody wearing the same pair of shoes, high street over production etc...It's difficult to look unique, or to be an individual. We all are influenced by what is out there but we most not forget who we are. That's why I love buying vintage and customize and make the clothes some how my own.
i think it's looking wonderful! I'm also sewing a lot of clothes myself, so i'm sure it's unique and exactly what i like/want. Especially love the collar with the eyes on it!
Really agree about the high street over production. I'm not good in personalizing things, so my goals are buying less on the high street and investing in some great classy pieces you can wear for a long time - or sell after a period for a valuable amount of money. I prefer one well-made high quality garment instead of 10 high street products.
victoria, your creativity knows no bounds! :) it's not childish to paint on your clothes. what you did is completely awesome. i like how you showed us how you styled each thing too. they all looked fantastic. the way you styled the collars was my fave. great music choice too. we saw the raconteurs in concert in 2008. they were very good.
I think you are right in painting your clothes to make them more personal. Should I have the artistic touch I would do something to personalize mine but I am not good in doing so, but I'm considering learning fashion drawing and then move forward to sewing..but let see if I will realize this ahahaha because it is easier said than done !
Your videos are getting better and better chick! You are good at painting... so you painting on clothes is all good, unlike most people ;) I LOVE the eyes on the collar xx
Wonderful video! I've been painting on clothes ever since I was a kid! I recently started using acrylic paint instead of that for fabric, I couldn't find a good paint anywhere. What paint do you use? And how do you wash those clothes? www.moiminnie.blogspot.com x
amazing! I was thinking to DIY some shirts that I have lying around and you have inspired me to do so! I really love the collar with the eyes on, I may have to copy that idea!
