Sometimes I think a lot about the future that sometimes I
forget about the present and living the present moment is the most important
thing.
The only thing we have is the present, no one knows for sure
that we will be here tomorrow but somehow we think we will.
The phrase: Live everyday like the last one. So true, yet
difficult to put in practice.
We forget about the beauty of simplicity, like enjoying our
first cup of coffee in the morning without rushing. I believe that when you
live and enjoy the `little things` in life, we are happier. It’s not about
money, waiting to have the right job, the right relationship, the right body etc...always waiting. Never enjoying
what we have right now! We focus in what we don't have, instead of focusing in
what we have now and making the most of it.
I love the new blog layout Victoria :) Looks like you're having a blast on holiday! And I agree, like you i think and worry too much about the future and wallow over my past that I forget to just sit and enjoy the present. The little things like rain on my window or having a lie in.

instead of thinking of the future like you, i spend a lot of time thinking of the past, which is not very healthy at times. it is very difficult to put that popular phrase it in practice, but i try every day by doing the little things that make my day. like my morning ritual and the early evening walks.
ReplyDeletehope you're still enjoying your vacation.

I really love the boots and outfit. Also, I tend to over think about the future that I fail to enjoy the things that are happening now. I am with you about celebrating the little things. It's what matter most. Really.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your vacation in Mexico. =)
Very wise words, I am now trying to feel more positive about being awake in the pitch black rain! You look beautiful, the dress is adorable, hope you are having an amazing time xx
ReplyDeleteGreat post Victoria! Your words are very true and important ones to live by! Loving these pictures and your outfit is soo cool and chic! :)
ReplyDeleteTake care,

I tend to forget about this too, so thank you for the reminder! Instead of always looking at the future, you gotta enjoy the present right? xx
ReplyDeletelovely outfit and the text is so true! but sometimes it's easier to say than to actually do that, living in the present. some things have to be done for the future. e.g. i can't tell my teachers i haven't done my homework cause "yolo and i don't live for the future" haha. but sometimes, yeah, sometimes it would be better to just focus on the little, beautiful things in life :-)
ReplyDeleteI love what you've written :) it's all so true.
ReplyDeleteloving the denim pinafore too x
amazing idylic photos:) you look great!
ReplyDeletehi victoria! i definitely agree with your words, the only problem i have is that is hard to follow it... i am the queen of complaining and being unhappy, and wishing things which I don't have, and wanting to be in Brazil when I am in Germany and the opposite when I am in Brazil... so this carpe diem thing is nice, though I must say it's hard to do what I know is the best.
ReplyDeletethe pictures look awesome, you need to keep us updated! I'm kidding! enjoy your time as much as u can! love the hair style!

so true, being in the present is so difficult for me, too! ♥ Meghan, The Flight of Fancy

you are right and it is so important to do, although it's not easy, at least for me to live in that right here, right now moment. i like your hair, & the colorful background in your photos. hope you're having fun victoria!
ReplyDeleteI really agree with this & feel the same myself. It's definitely something I need to make more of an effort to put into practice myself, but it's so much easier to say than to do. I'm always worrying about the future, or wishing certain things would hurry up & happen. I love what you said about enjoying the your first cup of coffee in the morning, it is so true & I can't remember the last time I actually did just sit down & REALLY enjoy it... I always seem to be too busy rushing about to sit down for long... I'm going to try & do that tomorrow, it really is the little things!
ReplyDeleteI love how simple your outfit is here & your hair looks great like this, the little red ribbon woven through & red lips is the perfect touch! I also love how bright & colourful all of the buildings are in your photos, I can see exactly where you get your love of colour & colour clashing from! :)
Hope you are enjoying your holiday!
