This is the way my style has been feeling lately wearing menswear at the top and girly shoes at the bottom. I remember in the 90's when I was 12 I used to dress like a boy with caps and converses and plaid shirts around my hips. I wish I had some photos to show but then probably is best that way since I was in puberty and I had a big nose with tiny face and some spots in between :s
Photo 4: My inspiration for this has to be Bianca Jaeger. I love how amazing she looks dressing like a men, she does it in such a refined way that is very appealing it is imposible for me to not feel inspired by the masculine 70's vibe of the photos :)

Congrats on the feature!
ReplyDeleteLove your "boys meet girls" look, especially your yellow sandals and hat.
I am looking forward to pull off a more relaxed style this summer, on my vacation.

Tirantes, sombrero y tacones fluor...simplemente me encanta.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on being featured in the NY Times! I love this outfit and the yellow sandals stop it from looking too mannish :) xx
ReplyDeleteSo cool being featured! Love this look it is so simple but fun xx

Wow, The New York Times ... That is fantastic! As is your menswear I spired outfit. I often wear men's shirts but their pants do nothing for my figure. By coincidence I pulled on some of Nick's pants the other day and we both started laughing ...um...no!

You actually look like Bianca. Or maybe she looks like you? Either way, both beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhere are your sandals from? I always notice them...
I absolutely love androgyne style and when women dress like men, it has so much appeal. So far about masculine style one of my reference was and still is Tilda Swinton, I can also say that Patti Smith is also one of my inspiration, but thanks to you I will keep in mind Bianca Jagger :D. Wearing a tuxedo is something I am totally crazy about.
ReplyDeleteAnyway love your suspenders, I wish I could wear some but it seems I can't...I am blaming it on my african origins :P I am too cambered so suspenders just don't fit me.
