3 Keys for Summer

When it comes to summer clothes in the UK, we can often let fashion magazines or blogs drag us along into buying some impractical things. Often the best way to wear a trend is through its ready-to-wear incarnations. I picked three  trends that the designers and magazine editors have been picking up this season:
Tropical
This trend is massive in the virtual realms of magazines, catwalks anddesigners’ imaginations. It’s bold, and the bolder thebetter. Hummingbirds and palm trees: on matching trouser suits, full-length
dresses and shirts. I think you can wear this quite nicely if you mix it up; go for a tropical shirt  and plain chinos, or, better yet, tropical print cigarette pants with a white t-shirt.
Athletics
I like this trend because it is easy to wear and I love the sort of 80's-90's vibe. For the Sport deluxe trend I love the baseball jacket or bomber jacket with contrast sleeves and embellishment. Keep it minimal having in mind that less is more for sure :)
Candy pastels
What’s key about this look is that it can be worn as full-on or as subtle as you like: put all three colours into a bag (Zara, Next and Aldo are ones to watch) and wear with neutrals.
Hope you liked my 3 keys for summer keeping in mind that your own style should come first. Don't just copy magazines or blogs, Adapt trends/keys  to your personal style :)

  13. Great advice to go with the trends but in your own way! I love your tropical print jacket. It reminds me of a shirt I used to have that I wish I had kept, but you never know when a trend will come back in style. I wish I had more space to keep everything!

  15. What a cool tropical dress! Wish I still lived in England and could get it. I don't think I've ever had anything tropical but love the simpleness of that one :)

  17. thats so funny that you posted the next dress, i tried on the next trousers with the same print! they didn't look how i imagined though so i was disappointed: i wanted them like loose cropped harem pants but they were too-long narrow legged trousers and really didn't have a summery tropical feeling with that shape. so i left them..
but still, im so amused that we gravitated towards the same tropical print :) :)
