These are pipe sleeves and you can find them in B&Q or plumbers shops, plumbers normally use them to cover indoor pipes for example the heating pipes, the material looks solid as metal but is like plastic, silver polypropylene sort of thing it can be cut with normal paper scissors.
Cut different sizes and just place them into a cord and voila!

ReplyDeleteSon como unos polvos, los diluyes en agua y remojas lo que quieras, una vez que ha chpado el líquido, escurres, planchas y es auténtico papel. Muy fuerte!!!

Ingenious creation, who knew B&Q equipment could be turned into something stylish! x
ReplyDeletewhat a great find, and i love your look ! super idea, will definitely keep an eye out for the pipe sleeves next time i find myself in a hardware store =)
ReplyDeleteThe two main reasons to use this sort of pipe sleeve are for protection from odor or fire. When the sleeve is around a water pipe, that pipe will eventually go into the sewer. By placing an airtight seal around the opening in the floor around the pipe, sewer odor won’t come back up around it.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! Even pipe tube can be used as accessories.
